The 2026 medal design has landed — heavier, deeper, and finished in gold, silver and bronze.
Every podium finisher this season takes home the new Juniors Grappling League medal, with the castle crest raised on an enamel shield and the league name wrapped around the ring. Gi and No-Gi podiums are both covered, so anyone entering two divisions has two chances at one.

The open weight belt stays with Jack Cassidy after his latest outing in the Super Fight Series.
Cassidy came in as champion and left the same way, holding his place at the top of the Super Fight rankings. The format gives nowhere to hide: no points, no time limit, no judges, and the match ends only by submission. The next contender comes from the rankings at the following Adults Grappling League event.

Tiered seating is now in place mat-side for parents, coaches and teammates.
Standing room was the most common thing families raised with us last season. The new benches give spectators a clear view of the mats without crowding the competition area, and they roll away between events so the floor stays free for warm-ups.

A dedicated warm-up area now sits alongside the competition mats.
Competitors no longer have to find a corner to move in before their bracket is called. The new matted area carries the league crest and gives athletes room to drill and stretch while matches run, with space for coaches to work alongside them.

Acai bowls, protein bars and cold drinks are now available on event days.
Long competition days need food that doesn't sit heavy before a match. The stand runs from doors open through to the last bracket, serving Amazon Superberry acai bowls alongside collagen and protein bars, with prices kept low in line with the rest of our events.

The Kilkenny Juniors Grappling League is a Gi and No-Gi event for kids and teens aged 4-13 years, held at Myalo Martial Arts in Kilkenny. It follows a Round Robin format where possible to maximise mat time, with experienced referees and on-site medics ensuring safe, fair matches in a family-friendly environment.
The Kilkenny Adults Grappling League is a BJJ event with Gi and No-Gi divisions for adults and juveniles in the south-east of Ireland, held at Myalo Martial Arts in Kilkenny. Round robin format under a modified Grappling Industries ruleset gives each competitor multiple matches, with trained referees and on-site medics ensuring safe, fair competition.
